Last time Alt-J was in the Twin Cities they played two sold out shows at First Avenue. Although First Ave is a phenomenal venue it seemed fair for them to play at a bigger venue in 2015. The Roy Wilkins Auditorium was packed with fans on the night of Thursday, September 17th. And it was a spectacular show.

Their production was on point. Visually this concert was astonishing.

The sound was great as well. Alt-J is a band that I personally love watching live, but love hearing live even more.

Let’s also not forget about the opening band. San Fermin, a Brooklyn-based eight-piece touring enterprise, got the crowd pumped up for the headliner. I think it’s safe to say they scored some new fans during their opening performance.

And if you haven’t heard their previous album yet, you’re seriously missing out.

An Awesome Wave

There it is, folks! If you missed Alt-J this time around, you may want to keep your eyes on their tour calendar. Because this is not a band you want to sleep on.
