True to form, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun created a surreal experience for fans at the Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 4th, on their closest stop to Minneapolis on the Quiet is Violent tour.

New to their set was an omniscient narrator named Nigel who helped guide the crowd energy at the beginning, middle, and end of the set, bringing hype when needed and introspection when appropriate. Opening with Guns for Hands, the duo brought the vibe of a house show to a major venue, with more of the crowd singing and screaming the lyrics back than I’ve heard at any other show. They showed their versatility with covers ranging from Elvis Presley to Beyonce. The show closed dramatically with both musicians drumming on platforms crowdsurfed on the hands of the audience.
