Jaedyn James and the Hunger went down the yellow brick road to a Spooktacular show at the Nomad last night. This fast rising local group was dressed in their best Wizard of Oz outfits, and the ten member band played to a packed house eager to hear their raw edge rock sound. Just seeing them interact onstage makes you laugh, and wonder what they will do next. And when they are done, you leave wanting more. Stay hungry.

jjh1-3 Big Wave Dave and The Ripples, warmed up the audience and this nine piece group was heavy on the horns and brash on the sounds. This Duluth group got everyone moving to their funky jazz, blues and soul sound. General B and The Wiz followed with their unique sound; a lot of their music is a throwback to early rock and simpler times. It’s refreshing to hear. For everyone wanting more JJ&H check out their new release: Raw. Definitely worth a listen.
