Joined by Christof and Dan Mangan, Bear’s Den put on a show of pure enjoyment and folly. Between the intense lighting and sorrowful melodies, the band surely blew away everyone who went to the Fine Line that warm October night. The New York Times describes their new album “Islands,” the music from which graced the majority of this event, as “a collection of lyrically sincere and emotionally raw songs.” The crowd roared with applause and voiced their love for the music that this alternative indie rock band came all the way from London to perform. Towards the end of their set, Bear’s Den took a trip into the crowd to play a haunting acoustic ballad. Overall the show was done beautifully and was a great way to start diving headfirst into the concert photography world for myself.
