The Twin Cities based hip-hop duo known as Atmosphere came through Minneapolis tonight via the “North of Hell tour”. I had no idea we were even covering this until a last minute e-mail woke me from a hungover afternoon’s nap, though my preparation process really just involves grabbing my camera and rolling out.  I’ve been on an Uber kick lately and decided to make a night of it.

After the usual First Avenue guest list quirks were worked out, I made my way in and caught the end of deM atlaS and then rapidly retreated to the safe haven of the 21+ section to enjoy a few cocktails while the stage was setup for PROF. That dude came out with energy to spare and really stole the show, hence him being in about 78% of the photos.

Atmosphere – what can I really even say about them that you haven’t already heard. They’re aging well and still putting out killer music and equally as epic live. I got to hear the first Atmosphere song that got me hooked as well as a large selection off Southsiders, their newest album which is available below.
