Spencer of Ice Nine Kills and Jeff Wellfare of Capture The Crown, have participated in the ‘Blindfold Challenge.’
The Mito Action team put this challenge together to raise money and awareness, similar to the popular ‘icebucket challenge.’ This time however there is no water or ice involved and the cause, is for Mitochondrial Disease.
The effects of this disease are unfortunately long, and effected the band Ice Nine Kills after they learned their friend Jonathan, had been diagnosed.
They released a song for Jonathan to raise money and are taking it a step further, by promoting the Blindfold Challenge.
Here are the instructions for the challenge:
1. Print out the Bull’s-Eye board at http://bit.ly/ixchallenge
2. Secure the print-out to a wall, grab a pin, and a blindfold (If no printer, just draw your own target!)
3. Give the participant the pin and blindfold them then give them a few good spins
4. Face them in the general direction of the board where they will place their pin
5. Wherever the pin lands is how much that person is suggested to donate to www.justgive.org/jonathanix where all donates will go to MitoAction. Anyone who gets the bull’s-eye can donate an amount of their choice.
6. Nominate a few friends and let them know they have 24 hours to do it!
